Roles and Responsibilities

Purpose of Job

  • 1. Planning and Implementation of Production activities in the entire production unit
  • 2. Managing the workforce -> from hiring, training and retaining
  • 3. Analyze and review production data of all the machines
  • 4. Liaise with the production supervisor to maintain employee’s decorum and attendance and ensure people are working efficiently
  • Coordinate with the cross-function teams to ensure business as usual.

    Eligibility Criteria

  • 1. Preferred Educational background: - Diploma in Printing technology
  • 2. Preferred Industrial experience in Printing and Packaging Industry– 3 to 5 years of working experience
  • 3. Good Command over English and Kannada. Other Indian Languages like Hindi, Tamil would be an added advantage
  • 4. Must have a strong desire to learn and ability to adapt soon
  • 5. Ability to walk, stand, and lift heavy objects for an extended amount of time
  • 6. Ability to act competently in emergencies
  • 7. Must have leadership qualities, to be able to maintain order and make workers work efficiently
  • 8. Should have good quality and skills for data maintenance.
  • Having computer knowledge, Internet, Emails and Microsoft office skills are Mandatory

    Key Responsibilities

    Production Head Roles and Responsibilities

  • 1. Create and review the production plan for all the production process after discussing with the production supervisor and CEO
  • 2. Facilitate in execution of the approved plan in all production process smoothly and swiftly
  • 3. Discuss the issues raised by the production supervisor and quality in charge and arrive at workable solutions
  • 4. Be approachable to the workers and be their helping aid from time to time
  • 5. Assessand recruit skilled/semi-skilled/unskilled workers from in and around the area
  • 6. Training the workforce from time to time to improve efficiency
  • 7. Providing relevant approvals as per different department requirements
  • 8. Using Problem solving techniques as and when required
  • 9. Should be able to handle emergencies and use risk management techniques
  • 10. Facilitating various job work related activities
  • 11. Ensure Health and safety regulations are met
  • 12. Defining quality control standards
  • 13. Responsible for performance appraisal year on year and identifying training needs
  • 14. Work with different department heads to implement the companies’ policies and goals.
  • 15. Supervising, motivating and leading team members and workforce.
