Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

Procure Items required for Manufacturing products and systems as per the requirements and Quality Systems at the optimum cost.

Handling procurement of Electrical & Electronic and Mechanical Components.

Identification / development of supplier for any new requirement.

Monitor Vendor Evaluation, Vendor Rating and Vendor Development.

Ensure that comparison statement is prepared based on supplier quotation and other terms and conditions.

Ensure that the Purchase Orders are raised on the Approved vendors for the right quantity, right quality and at the right price.
5 Ensure that the Purchase Orders are raised to cover the Planning Requirements.

Ensure items, for priority jobs, are procured by squeezing the lead time.

Monitor that the materials are received as per the delivery Schedule.

Processing and clarification of complaints with the supplier (replacement deliveries, improvements, credit note, action plans)

Data maintenance in the ERP system (especially articles, supplier data, prices)

Negotiate with supplier based on the projected qty. and initiate cost reduction techniques.

Rate contract on regular procurement items with supplier for better pricing

Payments follow up with finance.

Support to finance for reconciliation.

Experience in Import handling / clearance at customs.

Co-ordination with manufacturing on daily basis to avoid production stoppage.

Co-ordinate with Technical team for the new product Induction.

Review periodically on current cost and look for cost reduction.

Minimum Requirements:

Must be an Engineering Graduate with 4-5 years min. of experience in Purchase, Vendor Development in Industry.

Competencies:

Must possess knowledge on Planning, Purchase, Stores and Production, Quality
6 Management system (ISO 9001).

Must possess good analytical skills.

Must have a passion for achieving high quality standards in all the activities.

Must be able to influence others for achieving Companys goals and Vision.

Must possess good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
